There are two 18 hole golf courses near by and 20 minutes away is Caleta Velez where there is a marina port. A most popular beach in Torre del Mar is approximately 20 minutes distance and a large shopping centre 15 minutes away. Half way to the sea is a small airport catering for private light aircraft. One will find a lot of activities in this area such as horse riding, walking, fishing and sailing.

The area has good local schools in Velez Malaga, Anoreta and Caleta plus the University of Malaga.
